I began taking photos in 2005 as a hobby. In 2007, I had the opportunity to expand my love of the art and joined the West Kentucky Photography Club located in my home town of Madisonville, KY. This opened a new avenue of learning from my fellow members such as Tom Wortham, Jim Pearson and Lowell Mendyk and the many other guest speakers over the years. In 2011, Mayor David W. Jackson took office and I quickly learned to carry my camera with me at all times. He encouraged me to include my hoppy as a part of my role as City Clerk. This opened the door to including photos of our city and events to correspond with the city records. Through the role of being City Clerk/Photographer I attended events for the first time in my career and have learned to love the City even more through my camera. My camera is now my constant companion I have spent the last few years trying to learn everything I could about photography and each day I learn something new.
